Who Is Jesus?

Psalm 46.1 says the Lord is our "ever-present help in time of need." Let's stop here for a moment and ask ourselves a few simple questions: "What am I doing, and why am I here?" If we are like any other of the 7 billion people on planet earth, at some point in our lives we have come to the conclusion that we need help. That what we need is something or someone bigger than what we are by ourselves.

Friend, have you found yourself at that point? If the answer is yes, then you are at the perfect place in life to realize that we all need God.

Genesis 1:27 says that God created each of us in His own image, so if we do not allow ourselves to be connected to Him then we will naturally have a God-sized void in our lives.

Why do I need God?

Romans 3.23 says we have all sinned and fall short of God's standards.

How do I know that I sinned?

Romans 5.12 says that as sin entered into the world through Adam in the garden of Eden, so death entered into the world. So all must die because all have sinned.

Why do we all have to die, and is there a way out?

Romans 6.23 says that the consequences of sin is death, but Jesus has extended to us the free gift of eternal life.

Why would Jesus offer me eternal life if I messed up?

Romans 5.8 says that while we were still sinners, Jesus wanted to demonstrate His love for us by paying our penalty of death.

Would God really forgive someone like me?

Psalm 103.11-14 says that whatever we have done; because of His compassionate and immeasurable love, He will take our sins and throw them as far as the east is from the west.

How do I accept this free gift?

Romans 10:9-10 says that if we confess with our mouth (out loud) that Jesus is Lord and we believe in our heart that He not only died for us but rose from the grave we are promised eternal life in Jesus Christ.

How do I pray this prayer?

The prayer is as easy as ABC. You don't have to say this prayer word for word, but you do need to say it out loud (confess with your mouth) and mean it from your heart (believe in your heart). Remember, God is listening to you right now...

A - Lord Jesus, I ADMIT that I need you in my life.

B - I BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross for my penalty, but He also rose from the grave and is alive in my life today.

C - I CONFESS that Jesus Christ is Lord over every area of my life.

THANK YOU JESUS FOR SAVING MY SOUL! IN JESUS' NAME I PRAY, AMEN!!!
